Before working with PestScan, the system must be set up and the company set up.

3. Click on 'Setup System' in the top blue bar or in the left menu to return to the 'Setup system' page.
4. Then choose 'Pest Types'. Here you will find a list of pests you could be monitoring. You can modify this list as required.
5. Click again on 'Setup System' to return and choose 'Check point types'. Here you will find the types of check points you use, such as bait boxes, glue strips or fly lamp.
a. Open a checkpoint by clicking on the 'Edit' button on the far right.
b. Each check point has a 'Label' as e.g. for house mice HM, BR for brown rat etc. This label is unique and appears in the smartphone apps (Android and iOS) and on the floor maps after placement.
c. It is important that you make the right choice under 'Checkpoint Type'. You can choose for Estimate consumption' (here you have to enter an indication of the estimate consuption in %) or 'Count individuals' (here you have to enter the number of specimens caught).
d. At 'Checkpoint category' the checkpoint can be placed in a category. Each category gets its own color and shape. You can choose the color and shape yourself. These can then be clearly distinguished from each other on the floor plans.
e. To edit the categories or add new ones, go to the menu item "Checkpoint types" again. In the upper left corner next to 'New' there is a button 'Checkpoint types categories'. Here you can delete, edit or create new categories.
6. You have now passed the most important system data. You can always make changes here later. We will now continue with the setup of the company.
Please note that these changes may affect data of customers already entered in the system.
