Barcode scanning
There are two ways to obtain barcodes or QR codes:
- Ordering pre-printed labels.
- Printing on-site with a mobile printer.
You can order pre-printed labels from various suppliers. You specify the quantity and the desired quality. If you intend to scan with a smartphone, we recommend ordering QR codes. It's also possible to print labels on-site using a mobile (barcode) printer.
Please ensure that you do not order or print duplicate barcodes. Each barcode can be assigned to a single checkpoint in your PestScan environment.
Making the settings
First check if the 'Use barcode scanning' settings is activated for a customer:

- Click on 'edit.'
- Use the scan button to scan the code. The code will now appear in the 'Barcode' field. This can also be a QR code.
- Choose to save. The barcode is now linked to the checkpoint and can also be found under the checkpoint in your PestScan office environment.
