PestScan offers three options for configuring your email settings. Below, each option is explained in detail to help you choose the method that best suits your organization.
1. SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol)
With this option, you can configure your email system using your own SMTP server. This setup must be completed by your technical department, as the required settings depend on your domain provider. Unfortunately, PestScan cannot provide a general manual for this setup. Please contact your IT department or your domain hosting provider for assistance.
2. Use PestScan’s Mailing System
This option allows you to send emails via the PestScan domain, while displaying your name or email address as the sender. This is the easiest way to set up email sending in PestScan.
To configure this option, fill in the following fields:
- Sender Name or Email Address (Required): Enter the name or email address that should appear as the sender of the emails.
- Reply-To Address (Optional): Enter the email address where you would like to receive replies to your emails.
3. Register Your Own Domain
This option enables you to send emails directly from your own domain, offering the highest level of reliability and professionalism. To set this up, follow these steps:
- Enter your domain name in the Domain field (e.g., pestscan.eu).
- Enter the sender’s email address in the Sender Email field (e.g., info@pestscan.eu).
- Optionally, enter a Reply-To email address if you want replies to be directed to a different address.
After saving your settings, an email will be sent to the sender email address with detailed instructions for the next steps. These steps mainly involve adding specific DNS records to your domain's configuration. Since the exact process varies depending on your domain provider, PestScan cannot provide individualized assistance for this step.
Important:
If you lose the instruction email, you can always find the required DNS records within the PestScan platform.
Once you have added the DNS records to your domain, return to PestScan and click the Verify your Domain button. If verification is successful, you will receive a green confirmation message, indicating that you are ready to send emails from your own domain through PestScan.
